BITSHIELD 的3Gweb产品荣获 NETWORLD+INTEROP 最佳奖
Las Vegas, Nevada — May 4, 2005 BitShield Corporation, provider of innovative Web server security technologies was chosen a winner of this year's Best of Interop awards competition conducted by CMP Media's Network Computing and Network Magazine publication writers and editors. The Mandalay Bay Conference Center played host to the Interop show and competition, which assembled a panel of 11 editors and writers to evaluate and select the best new products the show had to offer.
Vendors submitted 168 products in seven categories: data management and compliance, network infrastructure, network software and services, performance, security, VoIP and collaboration, and wireless communications. The panel of judges carefully reviewed the finalists in each category, performing in depth competitive analysis and rating each entry on key distinguishing features. The panel also evaluated how each product advanced the state of the art for networking, weighed the strength of each vendor's business case for purchase and implementation, and chose several finalists in each category.
BitShield's BS-3Gweb-I-2400 Web server appliance was awarded winner in the Network Software and Services category for its truly innovative and state of the art approach to solving one of the SANS Institute's “Top 20 Internet Security Vulnerabilities” - the Web server. - Allow Denial of service
- Allow execution of arbitrary commands on the server
- Complete compromise of the server
Selecting the Winner
“The process of selecting the winners was rigorous,” said Ron Anderson editor for Network Computing magazine and lead judge for the Network Software and Services panel awards. “BitShield’s BS-3GWeb-I-2400 is the most innovative solution in the Network Software and Services category, and that’s why we selected it as a Best of Interop winner.” says Anderson. “BitShield's 3GWeb-I-2400 is a world’s first "self-defending" Web server integrated in a single 4U appliance. It provides a protected, public-facing Web server and an internal, secured service capable of detecting any modification, including deletion, of both static HTML and dynamic scripts. If a modification is detected, the 3GWeb-I-2400 restores the original content automatically, preventing site defacement and manipulation of back-end databases or applications. And the 3GWeb-I-2400 encrypts all original content on disk, so attackers can't glean information residing on the system. The appliance uses Apache HTTP and HTTPS and offers application security at both the OS and HTTP layers. In addition, it can defend against typical app-layer threats, such as SQL injection and cookie-tampering attacks.”
A Unique Approach
Unlike the current crop of slow and relatively ineffective “file scan” solutions available today to help protect content on Web servers, BitShield tackles the problem of total Web site security with multiple lines of defense, including the conventional firewall and hardening features available today--fully integrated. The core features of the platform are extremely high-performance authentication and encryption of original Web content and the real-time detection and correction of corrupt or modified information before it is sent back to the requesting browser. This innovative “Self-Defending” Web server provides all of the expected HTTP Web server functions but provides those services with complete immunity from all known and unknown threats to server contents. In addition to its “self-healing” capabilities and integrated security features, the appliance is also purpose-built to optimize performance and guarantee absolute data integrity of front- and back-end Web and database services and related application security. Whether it’s static or dynamic content or single or multi-tier Web server implementations, the integrity, availability, and delivery of your Web content is guaranteed.
BitShield’s Self-Defense technology is the next generation security technology which can emulate creature’s Self-Defense Functions including “Anti-Intrusion(Skin)”, “Immunity” and “Self-Healing” into computer, first in the world! This cutting-edge technology can help its customers fill the Security Gap exist between the current perimeter security products and the increasing many unknown, future web attacks.
